Commercial Projects:

Encon Construction provides construction management services, and design support for AAC structures for the commercial sector.  AAC products are available in wall panels, up to 20’ in length, 2’ in width, and thicknesses ranging from 4” to 12”, pending on the desired requirements of the structure.  Smaller commercial and retail projects are ideal for jumbo block AAC units.

AAC wall panels are lightweight steel reinforced, pre-cast panels that are manufactured to precision and delivered to the jobsite.  These vertical and horizontal wall panels, which can be installed as exterior non-load bearing walls in commercial applications or as firewalls, are intended to respond to today’s design challenges for increased energy efficiency, fire safety, and sound transmission, as well as increased concern over construction safety and resultant liabilities.  AAC wall panels provide numerous advantages over tilt-up concrete, steel, lumber wall systems, and concrete masonry units.

Multi-family projects are ideal for AAC products.  A 6” AAC block wall delivers higher fire UL ratings, high insulating values, and acoustical benefits.  A commonly overlooked environmental problem in residential construction is that of noise. The solid wall construction of a building made of AAC provides excellent sound abatement, greatly reducing outside environmental noise, providing a quieter, more comfortable interior for the occupants.  AAC's porous structure and high surface mass, coupled with its ability to dampen mechanical vibration energy, make for a building material that provides an outstanding defense against noise pollution.
